As I drove thru St. Louis I went right next to the Arch.

I have seen a few accidents along the way. I was able to get a picture of this Fedex truck that had flipped over and spilled all the boxes everywhere.

I hope you didn't have any packages on this truck.

The Missourians take there fireworks seriously. Here is a couple of pictures of some stores just full of fireworks. These stores were everywhere.

After the Mormons were driven from Independence, MO the Missourians took over the land that the Mormons had. Eventually the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ purchased some of the land and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints purchased the rest. This picture is of the Reorganized Church's temple. The Reorganized church changed it's name and joined with another church and is now the Community of Christ church.

This Temple is across the street from where the Visitor center is and where the original temple was to be built.

After I left the Liberty Jail I went about 14 miles down the road to Independence, Missouri and found the site of where the temple was to be built.

The actual location of the Liberty jail is inside this building. They found the actual footings from where the original jail was and re-created the jail. The floor is the actual floor of the original jail.

I was driving thru Missouri and I had the opportunity to stop and take a tour of Liberty Jail.

I am on my way to Greenville, SC now and I have gone thru three different tunnels on this trip.

Yahoo. I am back in Utah.

The roads got a little bad thru Wyoming.

I am getting close to home.

This is one of my favorite so far.

I find it amazing all the things you will see off the highway. The following pictures are some items that I have seen.

Check this picture out of the clouds. I thought this was pretty cool how the clouds were v-shaped almost perfectly. There was clear sky on both sides of the cloud.

I stopped and walked thru the world's largest truckstop in Iowa.

Well I got back on the freeway heading toward Michigan and I looked down and my odometer says 66666. I know 3 sixes are known as being a bad sign. What do you think it means to have 5 sixes? Especially right after we just had Friday the 13th.

This is the Newell K. Whitney store in Kirtland, Ohio. This is the original store and they have obviously refurbished it.

I also saw the Whitney's home, the hotel, the ashery, and the saw mill. It was all very informative.

Parley P. Pratt's wife Thankful is buried here. The tour guide said he was here when this new headstone was install and the family of the Pratt's all came for the event.

This headstone for the Smith's was newer also. This headstone has the twins listed that Joseph & Emma Smith had and they both died.

You can see on the dirctory that it lists the Smith infant twins.

Shannon is going to be really jealous and in shock that I actually stopped and walked thru a cemetery without her.

This cemetery is right across the street from the temple.

Most of the head stones are so worn from the rain that you can't read them anymore.

The directory shows where every person is buried in the cemetery.

If your LDS and have studied any of the history of the church you will recognize some of the people who were buried in this cemetery.

I thought it was interesting that it says on the front of the temple that it was built by the Church of Latter Day Saints, but yet it is owned by the Community of Christ Church.

I did not have to be in St. Joseph, Michigan until Wednesday so I stayed over night in Kirtland and figured I would tour the historic Kirtland visitor center.

I felt these songs were fitting for my blog.

On my way to New York I brought some books on tape. I brought the book "The Work and The Glory".

This book is about the Mormons in the early days as they come west. It is based on facts but has a fictional family inserted. In the book they talk about the Saints building the first temple in Kirtland, Ohio.

This picture is of the Kirtland, Ohio temple. I just happen to be driving along listening to my book and I see the sign for the Kirtland temple. It is owned by the Community of Christ now but they do have a visitor center and around the corner is the Mormon visitor center.

Unfortunately the visitor center is closed in January and February.

I was following a semi and could not see the sign coming, so this is all I could get ot the Welcome to Ohio sign.

I thought this picture of the sun setting was pretty.

I finished the Chili's restaurant install.

I have to go to St. Joseph, Michigan to do a repair on another restaurant called Papa Vino's.

Just south of Buffalo there is acres and acres of vineyards. You can kind of see the rows in this picture.
